“I use Selenium to test the responsiveness of my app” is on of the sentences I hear a lot during automation discussions. After diving into the details most of the time the conclusion is that one script is used to automate responsiveness on desktop and mobile browsers. I really do question if this is the best method to test responsiveness of desktop and mobile websites.
In this talk I’ll discuss some key differences in test strategy between automating desktop and mobile sites. A demo design and website will be used to explore and explain the differences. Examples and tips will be given about how to deal with them using other ways than using one script or even using image comparison.
