Join us this February for the
UKSTAR Webinar Series
We’ve gathered experts in Test Automation, Test Management and Agile Testing for this series, to get you warmed up for the main event; The UKSTAR Software Testing Conference
From the 12th-15th of February we promise you a whole host of amazing testing webinars and another fantastic testing eBook from some of the best minds in the industry.
Alan Richardson (@eviltester) will kickstart the week with his webinar ‘Your Automation Does Not Need to Be Flaky’.
This webinar is for anybody who has accepted ‘flaky’ test automation. Alan believes that to describe and accept your test execution as flaky is merely an excuse. In this webinar he will explore the myths of flakiness, so that you never use those excuses again!
Day 2 of the webinar series sees award winning software engineering consultant, author and coach, Paul Gerrard (@paul_gerrard), present ‘Future Test Management’.
When testing became a distinct activity in projects someone had to manage a test team with all it entails. In turn with Agility came uncertainty, with the tester’s role and perhaps with no role for a test manager at all. With DevOps and Continuous approaches, we need to redefine test management from scratch.
In this webinar, Paul describes contemporary management, identifies skills and suggests how we need to manage test in the future.
Do you want to know the secret to becoming a better Scrum Master?
Then attend Philiy Lander’s (@PhiliyLander) webinar on Wednesday the 14th February and explore a very unique approach to that very question, through Neuroscience. Learn about the basic parts of the brain, how people learn, develop new behaviours, how stress affects the brain, and how you can use all this information to be a better Agile Coach. Philiy teaches you how to understand how the brain works and therefore work more effectively with your teams.
The final day of the UKSTAR Webinar Series will see Katrina Clokie (@katrina_tester) of ‘Katrina The Tester’ deliver her webinar on ‘Automation & Management: Conversations to Create Trust’.
Being successful with automation is not just about learning the technical skills required to implement a solution. It’s also important to have good conversations with your manager so that they have trust in the work that you’re doing. Katrina addresses the thought; “If you can’t successfully communicate what you do, and why, you may be the only person that thinks that you are an automation expert.” If you want to be seen as credible, to have people listen to you and be persuaded by what you’re saying, then tune in to Katrina on Thursday the 15th February for some practical ideas on what to consider when participating in these discussions with managers.
